RARE E. & L. Dickinson "Earthquake" .32 RF Pocket Revolver
The E. & L. Dickinson Co. of Springfield MS was in business from about 1863 to the 1880's. Not much is known about the company. They made a variety of cheap "Suicide Specials", a single-shot deringer and a small bulldog-type revolver. This example is marked "EARTHQUAKE" on top, and H.P.H.E.P. on the side of the barrel. It is in fine condition with over 90% original nickel on the frame, and about 70% on the cylinder. The cylinder is a bit loose in the frame, the bore is moderately pitted with good rifling. The action works as it should and the cylinder indexes correctly. The hard rubber birds-head grips are excellent, without any signs of wear. 2 3/4 inch barrel, SN 4559, rated fine overall.
