Lee Arms "Red Jacket No. 4", .32 Rim Fire Long With Period Holster!
The Lee Arms Co. of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania was founded by well-known arms designer James Paris Lee. He is better known for his bolt-action rifles, and the Remington-Lee rifle, but his pocket revolvers of the "Red Jacket" line are also noteworthy, especially the engraved ones.
This example is in excellent condition with over 90% original nickel plating and very fine, sharp engraving. It is marked "Red Jacket No. 4" on top of the 2 3/4 inch octagonal barrel. The action is crisp and accurate, lock-up is solid, the bore is bright with sharp rifling. The gutta percha grips are excellent, without any wear, cracks, missing chips or scuffs. The period holster looks like it was made for this gun. I have never come across one with a holster before so I am not sure if this is factory issue or custom made. It is in excellent condition for its age. A rare combination! SN 6629, rated excellent overall.
