Remington-Elliot 4-Barrel Pepperbox, .32 Rim Fire
This small pocket gun was marketed by Remington as their "New Repeating Pistol No. 2", and is also known as the "four-barrel deringer". It is a marvel of mechanical engineering, with its revolving firing pin and double-action ring trigger. The hammer is integral, without a spur to cock it manually.
The gun is in very good condition and it functions properly. The grips are very good, without cracks or missing chips. There is very little of the original blue left, and the surfaces have turned into a pleasing gray patina. One small screw on the right side looks like a replacement. Otherwise complete. Clear markings, clean bore with strong rifling. SN 10540, rated Very Good overall.
