Smith and Wesson Model 1 1/2, .32 Rim Fire Long, Second Issue
Made from 1868 to 1875 the "Second Issue" Model 1 1/2 featured improvements over the first of these models: it has a more stream-lined appearance, the cylinder stop bolt in the top strap and "birdshead" grips instead of the square butt of the first issue.
This specimen is in excellent condition with most of the bright nickel plating in place. There is a small amount of flaking on the cylinder and hammer. The mother-of-pearl grips are very good, with a crack in the left side and a few small chips missing. The action is very good, accurate and strong. The hinge is tight and solid, and the markings are clear. 3 1/2 inch barrel with bright, clean bore and sharp rifling.
SN 95358, rated excellent overall.
