Smith and Wesson Model 1 1/2, .32 Rim Fire Long, Second Issue
Made from 1868 to 1875 the "Second Issue" Model 1 1/2 featured improvements over the first of these models: it has a more stream-lined appearance, the cylinder stop bolt in the top strap and "birdshead" grips instead of the square butt of the first issue.
This specimen is in very fine condition with about 75% of the bright nickel plating in place. The rosewood grips are free of cracks and missing chips, and show minor handling marks. More so on the right than on the left. The action is very good, accurate and strong. The hinge is tight and solid, and the markings are clear. 3 1/2 inch barrel with bright, clean bore and sharp rifling.
SN 100608, rated very fine overall.
