Smith and Wesson Model 1 1/2, .32 Rim Fire Long, Second Issue
Made from 1868 to 1875 the "Second Issue" Model 1 1/2 featured improvements over the first of these models: it has a more stream-lined appearance, the cylinder stop bolt in the top strap and "birdshead" grips instead of the square butt of the first issue.
This specimen is in excellent-plus condition, with 99% original blue on the frame, and case colors on the hammer. The blue on the cylinder is beginning to thin a little. Excellent, unmarked rosewood grips with all the original varnish intact. The action is crisp and tight, lock-up and index is as good as it ever was. 3 1/2 inch barrel, german silver front sight, sharp markings. Excellent, shiny bore with sharp rifling
SN 56832, rated excellent overall.
